Assistant Manager


Job summary

An assistant manager works as an integral part of the management team to provide quality products while being a hard working accountable person who believes in Exceptional Customer Service, Ownership, and developing associates at all levels.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Monitors and adjusts the product & management for I.L. Creations Units
  • Holds the guest as their highest priority and role models exceptional guest service
  • Empowers the team to satisfy guests and resolve problems
  • Believes in putting their People First
  • Keep accurate records of employees & inventory
  • Provides leadership to team to ensure communication to guests is clear and orders are accurate, served with quality food and beverages
  • Ensures service with speed goals are met throughout each shift focusing on effective team service
  • Analyzes Guest Satisfaction Survey results to recognize achievement and providing coaching and direction to restaurant team to drive continuous improvement
  • Guards the safety and security of the crew members and guests by proactively identifying and addressing opportunities
  • Ensures the restaurant meets food safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Maintains and calibrates restaurant equipment
  • Provides recommendations to ensure guests receive value for the price and pricing is competitive for market
  • Utilizes Red Book or similar tool to track required documentation
  • Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities to team to ensure smooth flow of operations
  • Recruits staff and oversees training program.
  • May contact prospective customers to promote sales - may establish inventory schedules.
  • Responsible for local marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position

Minimum Requirements

  • Successful Candidate must pass be a US Citizen & pass a Government Background Check
  • Valid Serve Safe or similar Food Safety Certification.
  • 2-5 Years' Experience effectively managing a QSR or Full Service Operation
  • Strong Personality with Training Experience
  • Experience with computerized POS system
  • Coach and use corrective action where necessary
  • Has managed a staff of over 10 people in restaurants, catering, fast food, food courts & institutional or government food service operations

Abilities Required

  • Proven solid controls over profit & loss operations through cost management and prevention.
  • One who is not afraid to make a decision while possessing exceptional Business Math, Accounting, Spreadsheet, Email and Strong Analytical Skills
  • Empathic Communicator who can delegate tasks & keep calm under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Possess excellent written & verbal command of the English Language
  • Bilingual Skills a plus
