Job summary

To give excellent, friendly, upbeat customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of food products, to clean and organize the hot bar counter area, and complete shift duties. This position requires adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Food Service and Safety Department.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Prepares and cooks food for hot bar and be responsible for maintaining, setting up, food production and quality control of all food items prepared
  • Orders food items, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Sets-up the meat and overall food display
  • Grills, deeps fry, bakes, broils and microwaves raw and prepped foods
  • Measures and assembles ingredients and cooks items according to recipes and menu specifications
  • Carves or portion meat, fish and poultry for individual serving
  • Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef & Sous Chef at any time

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizenship, Valid Green Card or Visa with a Unexpired Passport
  • Successful Candidate must pass a Government Background Clearance without Records of Misdemeanors, Drugs and Good Credit Check
  • Catering Experience Preferred
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
  • Commitment to quality service, and food safety knowledge
  • Give stellar, attentive & fast paced service with a smile
  • Detail- oriented & Proactive Thinker who loves a challenge
  • Positive attitude who can work in a Fast-Paced, High Energy Atmosphere

  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing
  • Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
  • The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Must work with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
  • Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
  • Must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction
